Christmas in WonderlandChristmas in Wonderland (2007)

IMDB rating: 4.60

Plot: It’s turning out to be a pretty rotten Christmas for the Saunders family. Having just moved to a new city from Los Angeles, they have no friends, no money and, with the exception of the bright-eyed Mary, no Christmas spirit. To make matters worse, their mother is stuck in L.A., stranded by airline overbookings. So, the Christmas shopping duties fall on Dad and the gloomy kids. Things start looking a bit more like Christmas when 12-year old Brian and 6-year old Mary find a satchel of money at the local mall and they launch a Yuletide shopping spree…that is, until the crooks who counterfeited the money chase them through the mall packed with holiday shoppers.

Creating a Christmas wonderland in my home, any ideas?
The Christmas spirit is near and this year I really want to create a wonderland through decorations. And not necessarily a "winter: wonderland. Its summer here in South Africa :)
Any ideas are welcome!

Live music. Doesn’t have to be expensive. Even just some little kids singing carols during the party… if you’re planning on sharring your christmas wonderland. It would be really cute!

In my house we love to collect Santa’s and North Pole type stuff. Maybe you could actually make Santa’s Village (I would LOVE to do this, but my Hubby puts a cap on how much I can do otherwise I will spend the mortgage money, lol)! Set up elves and little ’shops’ on your front lawn and decorate your house as Santa’s Workshop. I personally think that the Santa’s Village in the movie "The Santa Clause" is a perfect place to take inspiration from. The great thing about this is that it does not necessarily require snow!

I hope I could help!

String up some blue, silver, and white lights. Cut out some snowflakes or buy them. Hang them around. Put out some snowglobes all around. Take some old empty boxes and wrap them with silver, white, gold and set them around as decorations. Get clear bowls and place different colored bulbs in some, those different colored small stones in others with a big candle in the middle of the stones, brightly colored candies in others. Take plain clear jars and decorate them with paints, glitter or whatever and place candy canes in them and set them around various places too. Have a Santa or two out as well. A nice big wreath hanging somewhere. There’s so much you could do!
