IMDB rating: 5.60

Plot: In the green woods of Silver Falls, Oregon, Aaron Hallam, a trained assassin AWOL from the Special Forces, keeps his own brand of wildlife vigil. After Hallam brutally slew four deer hunters in the area, FBI Special Agent Abby Durrell turns to L.T. Bonham— the one man who may be able to stop him. At first L.T. resists the mission. Snug in retirement, he’s closed off to his past, the years he spent in the Special Forces training soldiers to become skilled murderers. But when he realizes that these recent slaying is the work of a man he trained, he feels obligated to stop him. Accepting the assignment under the condition that he works alone, L.T. enters the woods, unarmed—plagued by memories of his best student and riddled with guilt for not responding to Aaron’s tortured letters to him as he began to slip over the edge of sanity. Furious as he is with his former mentor for ignoring his pleas for help, Aaron knows that he and L.T. share a tragic bond that is unbreakable. And, even as they go into their final combat against each other, neither can say with certainty who is the hunted and who is the hunter.

What should I put in a scrapbook about Johnny Depp?
For english I have to make a scrapbook about someoone famous. So I chose Depp. I’ve never made one before or know what to put in it. Have any ideas? My teacher didn’t say we had to put anything specific in it. Any ideas?

Do you have any pictures of him? If not, start with the internet, and find some press releases perhaps about his movies or other things he may have done and maybe you can get those printed out.Movie type magazines may help as well - probably check the library as they carry issues of mags and newspapers. Research some information about his life, like the other suggestion, something biographical which it seems like the assignment may really be about.

Usually a scrapbook has photos on a page and a title and writing about the photo or event. If you can find photos of some of his movies, you may want to make the movie Title the page Title, And then see if you can find out where and when the movie was filmed, if anything notable happened during the filming, how long it took to film, how much it cost to make, how the box office took in that first release, did he win any awards for the movie, etc. All of that should be available in the internet under the movie titles. If you can’t find anything particular about the movie, maybe a mini critique of the movie, sort of book report fashion. If you have not seen the movie, perhaps what the critics said. Maybe even what the critics said verses your interpretation or verses how the movie actually did.

If you can’t find any pictures, you could do a top-ten list. Top Ten movies, top-ten reasons you like him as an actor, etc. You could list them in chronological order or in order of importance based on awards won, or based on the total box office if you can find that information. You could do your own critique of each movie you saw.

Or you might want to do your research first and see what type of information you come up with and you might just see a format for the scrapbook unfold as you do your research.

You may want to put in a Title page, the first page of the book, to sort of announce who the book is a about - possibly with a little biographical information about him - when & where he was born, etc.

Good Luck with your book. I hope you get a good grade.

I have a scrapbook book website that gives scrapbook advice and I have a lot of photos of scrapbook layouts that I have done. You may want to check it out. Here is a link to the Quick Start Guide

Well I guess for English it’d have to be something which was Autobiographical sort of thing. So start with a brief introduction on his life and then get into more detail as you go along. Get a list of films he has stared in/been a voice over/future films etc. Then for each film make a cover page and then just fill the sections with pictures, facts, interviews with him etc etc.

You should ask the teacher what needs to be put in it incase its something vital for the project. Good luck and very nice choice of person :) ??? C

Can my employer deduct from my paycheck legally?
I work in WV.

My employer has mentioned to me that I have made several "mistakes" over the past few weeks due to shortages or overages on my shift. I work for a subway, and I’m one of the first shift employees. What happens is that I come in in the morning do my count of everything (food, cups, plates, etc.) and then 30 min prior to my shift end I have to account for everything that has left that place. And, for an example, today I came up short 4 amount of cookies, and 2 chips. I recounted and they are gone. I do work with someone else in my shift, but no matter what they always point the finger at me!

So now my employer is saying every time I cannot "find" these items they will deduct an amount from my paycheck or make him pay it in cash! So, is this legal? or should I bring in Labor Law?

Thank you.

No, it’s not legal. Tell your employer to cut it out or you’re going to report him to your state’s department of labor.
The CPA Guy | Nov 23, 2009

It depends on the state. Federal law says that as long as you make above minimum wage ($7.25) you can be deducted from your paycheck.
States have different laws and I couldn’t find anything about WV.
- some states do not allow this at all unless the employee purposes did something (gave away cookies, etc)
- other states allow this only if the employee consents in writing.
- still others just allow it as long as you continue to get the minimum wage.

Just so you know, it would not be uncommon for WV law to parallel state law.

sbinlb | Nov 23, 2009

It is actually legal for A MANAGER TO DO THAT.. but employer? hell no! This means any employer could steal something and you would have to replace it.

But as a keyholder or someone who is working at the cash, you are responsible for the money in the till.. otherwise the products like cookies and all the other food you have mentioned, you should not have to pay for… especially if you have one other person working with you!

What do you think of my brother's views on health care, abortion and religion?
Conversation Three:

My brother: ”I don’t like the government telling me what I can and can’t do. I prefer a strong union to protect my job. I want a pension. But I don’t want universal health care.”

My response: ”How would it be ethical for people to make money off of a basic human necessity like using the bathroom.”

My brother: ”It isn’t that I wouldn’t want it. It is that I think the U.S. government is too incompetent to functionally operate it. I don’t know if it’d be more expensive or not after taxes too. People should have the right to choose whether or not they want it.”

My response: I’d agree. ”The government will wind up paying for it anyway when people without coverage come into hospitals though.”

——————————————————————————-

Conversation Four:

My question: ”Isn’t it hypocritical to believe people shouldn’t have the right to get an abortion if you believe the government shouldn’t directly intrude people’s every day lives with their views?”

His response: ”People should only have the right to abortion if they are raped or it is incest. Anyone else should be punished and sent a message!”

My response: ”Who are you to make the decision for other people though?”

——————————————————

Conversation Five:

My brother: ”I don’t like Europeans view on religion.”

My response: ”Why not?”

My brother: ”Because they think Atheism is the answer.”

My response: ”That is what some believe. They are searching though. They study various religions to see what is right and how it pertains to society. Isn’t that what what people all over the world do?”

My brother: ”I’m not saying people need to attend church, synogauge, mosque or whatever. I am saying you should just know there are some things out there you don’t question. You stick to the denomination you are or the religion you were born into and that is that.”

My response: ”How do you learn then? How do you know what is right for you”

My brother: ”It doesn’t matter. If someone was born and raised Catholic, even if they didn’t even get communion or confirmation, they should remain Catholic. For all the groups who originally immigrated to America like Italian, Mexican, Polish, French Canadian, Irish and some Germans (ex. Bavarians) were Catholic and the U.S. should be much more Catholic than what it actually is today. They’re a bunch of jerk offs and were weak to have converted to Protestant denominations.”

My response: ”We live in a Protestant dominated society. Our society is built on the foundation of English Protestant colonialism. We think in terms of Protestant reformers even if aren’t apart of those religions. The Puritans isolated the Native Americans because they were Calvinists who viewed them as predetermined to hell. Andrew Jackson did the same thing in 1830 to the Cherokees. In contrast, although there are class distinctions, Latin Catholic culture like South Americans incorporates all into one identity.”

My brother: ”No, I am Catholic, even if not practicing. And that is how I think.”

My response: ”You are just not getting it. Why are you so consumed with labels? Can you even name the 7 sacraments off the top of your head.”

My brother: ”No.”

My response: ”Why don’t you study a religion even if not practice it before judging other people”

I think your brother suffers from fascism.

Fortunately it’s learned behavior or thinking and it can be unlearned or the behavior modified to align with humanism.
Snowie | Nov 21, 2009

I think you’re someone who can’t win an argument with your brother, so you dumb down his side of it and post it here hoping we will tell you that you’re right and he’s wrong.

I won’t.
End_Libtardation | Nov 21, 2009

Health care should be socialized to an EXTENT. Nobody should have to die just because they can’t afford surgery.

Abortion is a WOMAN’S RIGHT! I personally have seen some abortion videos, and I think it’s disgusting, but my personal views end with me. It’s not fair to push one’s views on abortion onto others. Besides, even when abortion was illegal, women STILL got abortions ALL THE TIME, just at home with wire hangers. It’s amazing how the anti-choice crowd are so quick to deny history.

I think everyone should be taught at a young age about all the religions in the world, just so they can realize how rediculous religion is. I don’t think Atheism is the answer, but blind faith is even worse. Religion is, by definition, a way of dumbing down a general population in order to control them. The mere fact that the Bible says you’re not aloud to question it or else you go to Hell is a red flag that it’s a form of brainwashing. I was raised Christian, but then read the Bible and discovered the evils of that religion, and the fact that the Jesus myth is just a rip-off of an Egyptian sun god, and now I’m proud to call myself non-religious.
