Lyndsey, things that look frightening, ARE frightening, you can’t blame producers of recent horror films for creating unnerving baddies. Yes theres a lot of crap now, but thats because theres a lot more being produced than say, in the 80’s/90’s. As for gore. Horror movies are supposed to be gory, i grew up on freddy kruger and michael myers… There have been TONS of great recent horror films, i’ve named a bunch in my original question.

I have a brown line that has been on my thumb nail for years. How do I get rid of it?
I’ve heard it’s cancerous or it could be a sign of a lack of certain vitamins, bad diet, etc. It doesn’t hurt or anything. How many Christian Martyrs have fallen to the Roman Catholic Church over the centuries?
i hope this question doesn’t get met by outright denial and pulled off as has been the norm for questions probing Church history - i’d like to see an educated estimate on this. i have heard figures ranging from 50 million to an astonishing 500 million - some may deny such a thing happened, but they most certainly did, those Christians that professed Christ but would not bow before the pope etc were slaughtered - Huguenots, covenanters, waldenese etc… Foxes book of Martyrs explores the horrors of this.

I have never been truly happy in seven years. When I wake up, I say, "Today’s gonna be another day. Woo.". My blood always feels cold, and I have a tug in my stomach like I’m about to vomit. I’ve felt like this every second for the last seven years. It feels natural for me to be in the dark, in the cold, underwater. I have a very bland state of mind, and I’ve got no fears. I always mask myself in front of associates. I pretend like I’m the energetic, all-around kind, intelligent funny guy. I’ve got many ‘friends’, but these may only be people who like my mask. It’s become involuntary, and whenever I try to let it out, I can’t. No matter how hard i try, I can’t. I can’t cry any more. I can’t tell people how I feel, whether it’s about myself or them. I just sit there, reading the dictionary, listening for approaching people with my feet. I bury my head into the book when they get near, and try to ignore people staring at me. Oh, and the staring. The horrible staring. Mostly girls who really like me, my personality, etc. I keep trying to tell them I’m taken, but they never listen. They think it doesn’t matter, because I met my ideal partner seven years ago. She left. We never broke up. I don’t know what to make of it anymore. I would just lay down on the floor and cry if I could. But I can’t.

Don’t suggest therapy. It doesn’t work, and if it did, I could cure myself in 20 seconds flat. I’m good at talking to myself.

Maybe you should try networking sites. Obviously you can be yourself online. Try to make friends. Join facebook and just search for people to add as friends. Talk to people who seem like people you would want to know. Things get easier once you learn to let go. It took me a long time…
